I think the only reason I’ve had the career life that I’ve had is that someone told me some secrets early on about living. You can do the very best you can when you’re very, very relaxed, no matter what it is or what your job is, the more relaxed you are the better you are. That’s sort of why I got into acting. I realized the more fun I had, the better I did it. And I thought, that’s a job I could be proud of. It’s changed my life learning that. And it’s made me better at what I do.

Every day there are countless articles I come across about what successful people do and don't do, what other people are creating, and how to get ahead. The quote above is the single lesson that seems to make the most sense.

To make it stick, I'm going to make it a point to relax by meditating every single day.

Like me, you may have no idea how to meditate. And, the idea of learning how to meditate in a group or a class, and therefore making another commitment, seems stressful.

That's one of the many reasons I love podcasts, you can learn whatever you want, whenever. After checking out a few different ones, I found the My Meditation Station podcast. All of them come with soul-soothing music, detailed instructions, and Stin Hansen has a ridiculously calming voice. And, it's free!

Pro Tip: I've found that playing the below episode on my way home from work to be the most stress-relieving thing I've ever done. For one, you don't have to close your eyes, and two, what better time to focus on relaxation than when you're stuck in steering-wheel-beating traffic?
