I love music, but I'm not what you would call, "musically inclined". My voice has about as much melody as Ben Stein's, and when it comes to instruments, I'm still working on passing my fourth grade Recorder lessons.
I look at music a little bit like this:
Everything starts with a problem. Mine was in 2012 after I created my video on a day in the life of a copywriter. Since timelapse videos without music make the worlds longest and worst GIFs, I made a background track in GarageBand.
I was hooked.
However, making music on the same keyboard I use to write snarky tweets just felt wrong. My perfect weapon: a magical box that connects to your computer and unlocks hundreds of instruments, all operated using pressure-sensitive pads (AKA a drum machine).
So, why the 100 Days? It forces me to just create. Whether it's good music or bad, it's fun and it's mine.
“Put yourself, and your work, out there every day, and you’ll start meeting some amazing people.”
So, I'm out here. Ya heard me?
