After two unforgettable years, I find myself leaving T3. Why? It's because of T3.
I wanted to do social and digital advertising. T3 made it my full-time job. I wanted to win awards. T3 taught me what it takes. I wanted to learn how to present and sell ideas. I've got a lot left to learn, but T3 helped me discover my "pitching style".
It's everything I learned while at T3 that prepared me for my next adventure.
Becoming Mel Gibson
I joke (even though it's true) on my Twitter bio and elsewhere that at age 13 I wanted to become a copywriter because of the Mel Gibson movie, What Women Want. Without spoiling too much of the story, it's because Mel gets an opportunity to make a game-changing TV spot.
I still have one thing (that I'll admit to) in common with the teenage version of myself — I still want to make my game-changing TV spot. Next week, as part of Sanders\Wingo, I get to start learning how to make my first TV spot(!!!).
Thanks to my creative directors for pushing me, thanks to my teammates for inspiring me and having some fun along the way, and thanks to all of T3 for teaching me how to kick ass.
